Dramatic Writing

Kate was first exposed to original works in 2011 when their high school produced the inaugural One Act Competition where three original 30 minute scripts written by students, staff, alumni, or community members are anonymously selected and produced.

In 2014 Kate was selected to have their play produced for the 4th annual One Act Competition and though they did not win the competition, Kate received so much praise from the experience they began their plan to minor in English and continue pursuing an education in playwriting.

Since then Kate has had another play produced, this time at Pacific Lutheran University for the 2016 Alpha Psi Omega One Act Festival. Kate hopes to gain a writer's residency at a LORT house, preferably in the greater Puget Sound area where they were raised.
